Our fascination for seaweed colors

 

We have always had a fascination for colors, textiles, seaweed, and sustainability. That’s why we decided to upscale the artisanal seaweed dye process of co-founder Nienke Hoogvliet to an industrial level. Together with our team of experts, we want to replace as many dangerous synthetic dyes with our seaweed dyes as possible. Our sea has so much to offer, that’s why we want to protect it, while harnessing their potential. 

Our process

The sea is where our journey starts

We use seaweed waste streams from local beaches and industrial partners

The pigments are extracted from the seaweed through a bio-based and environmentally friendly process

Our dyes can be applied on natural textiles like cotton, wool, silk, or linen

We develop a wide variety of colors according to the industry standards
