Material District Utrecht – The leading material innovation event
Wednesday, March 12 – Friday, March 14, 2025
The Importance of Local Collaborations for Innovative and Circular Value Chains
Zeefier is honored to be part of the Fibershed network and to contribute to the Innovation Hotspot at Material District 2025. This collective exhibition revolves around the theme: “How can you build circularly?” and highlights the vital role of local partnerships in creating innovative, resilient, and circular value chains.
At the Innovation Hotspot, Fibershed showcases groundbreaking products and applications developed through local collaborations. Visitors are invited to meet the involved producers and designers, including Zeefier, and explore the natural materials and innovative solutions they’ve brought to life.
How can you build circularly?
Circularity often focuses on material reuse, overlooking the potential of renewable materials. Entrepreneurs within the Fibershed network, such as Zeefier, stand out by applying natural raw materials and designing with circularity in mind. Their products are created to maximize longevity, follow the steps of the circular R-Ladder, and ultimately return to nature through composting. Conscious collaborations with local farmers, processors, designers, and entrepreneurs strengthen these efforts.
Zeefier is proud to be part of this collective presentation alongside other forward-thinking innovators, including Enschede Textielstad, The Knitwit Stable, RietGoed, Hollands Wol Collectief, and Wad van Waarde.
