The European Commission has featured Zeefier in an article about our journey from seaweed to industrial textile colour and our ambition to offer an alternative to petrol-based colourants.
The article explores why colour is still a hidden part of the textile industry’s environmental impact, how we turn seaweed into high-quality textile dyes, and why our plug-and-play approach is so important for scaling.
It also highlights our participation in the EU’s BlueInvest programme, which has supported us in preparing for our next phase: scaling production and expanding our reach to dyehouses internationally.
As we put it in the article: when you look at a textile label, you can see what the fabric is made from, but rarely where its colour comes from.
Time to change that.
