We won The Green Concept Award 2025 in Berlin! “Simply an amazing product”according to the jury
We are proud to announce that our project From Dutch Wool and Seaweed has won the Green Concept Award 2025 in the Interior & Lifestyle category.
The award was presented during Berlin Design Week at the Nordic Embassies, under the theme Green Olympics – Sustainable, future-proof products honored. With over 1,500 submissions from 46 countries, this year’s edition was a record-breaker, highlighting the growing global commitment to sustainability.
Our concept – a locally produced carpet made from Dutch wool and dyed with eco-friendly seaweed pigments – was recognized for its innovative, circular design and low ecological footprint. The international jury, which included Uwe Melichar (Touch Design Ltd.), Prof. Claus-Christian Eckhardt (Lund University), and Katja Keienburg (baby&junior), selected us as one of the winners from a diverse field of nominees across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
The official jury statement described it simply as: “Simply – amazing product!”

We also extend our thanks to Reina for the wonderful collaboration and for providing us with high-quality wool from her sheep just a short bike ride from Amsterdam – a beautiful example of the power and potential of local production.
